![]() You can think of one as a forced reset, and the other is a soft reset. So you do dungeons on a loop of 3 or more so that by the time you finish the last one the first one is already repopulated and you can do this loop indefinitely. "Repopulate" is if you just rotate between maps to trigger respawning, since the game only leaves I think 2 of everything opened and anything prior would be repopulated (2 last visited dungeons, 2 last visited Acts, etc). I only used it once and never liked it personally for me personally, I would only use it if I had to. "Reset" is when you relaunch the game in LAN and tick the 'reroll world' option, which reset either the entire game world and everything in it or just game region specific. Not sure about your distinction between "repopulate" and "reset: though. This method reset ALL maps in the game I think.Īhh. This thus means that it's often a solid practice to keep a note on special interest points of maps for specific characters to return later if you were to use the repopulation method of farming. This means if there's anything you like about the map, such as the random enchanters, you can keep coming back to them after each repopulation. Repopulated map are also NOT the same as reset iirc, as as far as I know it means the map and other special features within will still be there but just repopulated. And just so you know, the overworld and the dungeons are independent you don't need to repopulate the overworld before you can repopulate the dungeons. This meant that if you do a rotation run of 3+ or 4+ maps than you can repeat that loop indefinitely since by the time you finish the last dungeon the first is already repopulated. So only the last 2 or 3 dungeons you've explored are kept "opened", the last 2 or 3 Acts' overworld maps are kept, etc. The game only saves a set of I think either TWO OR THREE explored maps. There is also the REPOPULATE method: This means you do dungeons in a loop/rotation. This method reset ALL maps in the game I think. There is the RESET method: You can reset the dungeon by re-launching the game in LAN and tick the "reroll world" option. ![]() He drops the eye every time he dies (outside of simply naturally piling the eyes by having many characters). I haven't finished installing gems on the Highridge gear, but the Exorcist set didn't have any damage reductions on it either. I forgot that I am in the process of changing the gear to Highridge. If you are going to install 75% all damage reduction on your character to make it impervious to damage, then it would be a lot easier just to play in Casual mode in the first place.ĮDIT: My Berserker was wearing an Exorcist set. Contrary to what a number of guides have said, If you have enough physical and elemental armor, you can still do well. I'm just illustrating that Eyes of Grell or Manticore, and Skulls of Limoany are not completely necessary in order to level your characters. The only character I lost was a level 83 Normal Embermage that hit a hidden bomb and didn't have enough health regeneration gems installed to counter the DOT (I was waiting to get ones of the same level as the equipped gear). I have a level 44 Elite Engineer with only one Eye of Manticore, and a Normal level 54 Berserker that completed the story with no damage reductions at all (because it's wearing a Highridge set!). ![]() I now have a level 84 (normal difficulty) Engineer with only one Skull of Limoany, which I didn't use until somewhere in the 70's levels. So far, out of all 10 new Hardcore vanilla characters I am leveling, I am using only one damage reduction gem on each character, if any. ![]()
